Today, on the the official Franco-German Friendship Day, we welcomed three young French students from Lorraine in France (Nancy, Metz and Sarrebourg) to our school for .
Thanks to the Schuman individual exchange program, the pupils will spend two weeks at our school with their partners to improve their German language skills and at the same time discover Luxembourgish traditions and customs as well as the country's education system. We are convinced that these exchanges are very important and that it is beneficial to experience a stay with a family beyond the borders, in the Greater Region, and also to welcome a partner into one's own family.
The Schuman individual exchange programme is aimed at pupils in classes 7e-S1, 6e-S2, 5e-S3 and 4e-S4 during the 2023-2024 school year.
Pupils from Lorraine will stay with their partners in Luxembourg from 20 January to 3 February 2024.
Pupils from Luxembourg will travel to Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland or Belgium from 9 to 23 March 2024. The pupils from Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Belgium will in turn stay with their partners in Luxembourg from 13 to 27 April 2024.
