Congratulations to our Philosophy Champion!

16/06/2024

We are delighted to announce that a student from our Lycée LLIS has won first prize in this year's Luxembourg Philosophy Olympiad! Organised by the Cercle de Philosophie a.s.b.l., the Commission nationale de l'enseignement secondaire pour la branche philosophie and SCRIPT, this prestigious competition brings together the country's best young thinkers.

It is an annual competition in which each secondary school can enter one or two students aged between 17 and 20. Participants are invited to write a philosophical essay, which is judged on criteria such as originality, structure and philosophical knowledge.

This year, our S6DE student Amelie represented our school brilliantly, winning first place nationally with an outstanding essay on artificial intelligence. We are very proud of her achievement! Many thanks also to our teachers for their commitment to cultivating critical thinking and a passion for philosophy in our students. Amelie is accompanied by her teacher Mr Tom Retter.
